Knowing the script while studying the language will help with:
Pronunciation – you will never more confuse phones that are difficult because they don’t appear in any European language, but are key for Arabic;
Correct use of grammar – Arabic grammar is based on adding suffixes and prefixes that are expressed in letters;
Widening your vocabulary – every Arabic word has a so called root, which are 3 letters that are its main part. Until you are able to imagine the word written down, it will be difficult for you to recognize the root and you will miss lots of words and meanings derived from the root;
Keeping the right rhythm and accent – Arabic script records long vowels whose correct pronunciation is essential

That’s not true! Arabic script is not difficult, it’s a normal alphabet which you will learn easily. It’s the easiest part of learning Arabic!

Not every native speaker is a great teacher 😊 Usually it’s more of an exception. Many things seem clear to Arabic native speakers and they don‘t understand that your mother tongue is based on a completely different system. Arabs are also used to their usual handwriting and it is difficult for them to write letters like „in the first grade“.
„I would like to attend a class in a language school but there aren’t any close ones or I don’t have the time.“

Why should you study with me?
My course is different. I teach you as someone who has been in the exact same situation that you are in now. I am not a native speaker and everything that I know about Arabic, I had to learn by myself as an adult.
I know how to explain things so that the students understand it. I don’t like to complicate stuff with unnecessary details and on the other hand I never leave out any explanation of grammar that I know you will need to build on in the future.
You don’t have to be a language expert nor a university student. I will explain everything understandably, so that you will be able to use it in practice.
I have been teaching Arabic for 10 years and I have come to see, what in specific is easy and difficult for students to understand. I can pass this experience on to you in four weeks!
The educational videos are complemented with illustrations of writing and many tasks, which I then go through in the videos. I will answer your questions before you even ask them. 😊
Every student that enrolls in the course will get access to our facebook group, in which you can motivate each other with the other students and ask about anything that is unclear.
Writing
At the end of the course you will know the whole alphabet, know how to pronounce all the letters correctly in formal Arabic and the differences in colloquial Arabic. You will be able to write any word you like.
Reading
During the lectures I will be giving you exercises to practise your reading. It requires a bit of training but at the end of the course you will be able to read vocalized texts or words without vocalization, which you already know.
At your own pace
You get access to the videos from Feb 21 till Mar 20. Continue whenever you can and you can repeat any lecture you like. Each student has the opportunity to consult things through the facebook group.
Your teacher
My name is Kveta and I will guide you through the entire course. I studied Arabic at a university in Prague and in Egypt and I worked in education and in the corporate. Arabic has been my passion since childhood. I have been teaching groups and individual lessons for 10 years. In the last few years I have been concentrating on my own projects in Egypt. I love teaching and it‘s one of my biggest hobbies. I enjoy passing on what I have learned over the years, and seeing your results and successes gives me the most joy.
